Week 43 Second Week in Hermosillo

Hey!  All is good here in Hermosillo! Elder Mendez and I are working hard and finding PLENTY of people to teach....the only unfortunate thing about here is the dang HEAT!!! It´s so hot here, probably an easy triple digits by  9am  up  until 8pm ....could be an exageration, but nonetheless it´s hot! But it´s an easy excuse to get into houses! We had Zone Conference this week and it was so awesome! It was the first one with our new mission president, President Zepeda. He taught us the importance of missionary work in this time in this place in Sonora! Super uplifting and super spiritual....can´t ask for anything more! Spiritual thought comes from Moroni 7 about charity...it´s the pure love of Christ! When we have charity, we have DIVINE LOVE! Feeling better and my spanish is improving every day...thanks for the support, love, and PRAYERS! Les amo! Elder Gregory

Week 42 Transferred to the Sun

Hey what's up everybody?? I'll just get right to it... I met our new mission president and his wife, Presidente and Hermana Zepeda from Mexico City....and I just love and adore them. They will be great here in Sonora. Well Elder Judd and I were working real hard the last week of the transfer in Navojoa and we found a ton of new people to teach.... just to get the transfer calls.... And I sadly found out that my home these past 3 1/2 months in Navojoa would come to an end and that I would be sent to the glorious land of Hermosillo with Elder Mendez from Bolivia. My last night in Navojoa I just knelt down in prayer and cried tears of joy, sadness, and gratitude to God. I gave so much to the people there and they gave me even more love, support, affection, etc. then I could ever imagine. Some of the best people I have ever met. So I packed my bags and hopped on the 5 hour bus ride to Hermosillo and settled in to my new area, Pueblitos. Apparently there's a...

Week 39 Hospital trips/Dad’s bday

No pics this week but several calls.  Pres Meyers on Friday and Sunday and Elder Gregory on Sunday.  Hoping for one more call on Aaron’s bday!

Week 41 Transfer!

Talked to Tyler on the phone today and he was transferred to Hermosillo and has a new companion named Elder Mendez from Bolivia.  We talked a lot about this new area and since this was his first day, he didn’t have a lot to say about it.  We will know more after he has been there a week!

Week 40 Hospital Visits and baptisms

Okay I need to first give thanks to the USA because we are truly blessed to live in a place where we have wonderful rights and freedoms like Police/Fire Stations/Ambulances that function properly, restaurants that have health codes, and AMAZING MEDICAL CARE.  My health hasn't been the greatest these past couple weeks. I think it may be a combination of the heat and some other environmental factors. The doctors here I'm pretty sure use WebMD and whatnot. I went to the hospital get my head checked and this one dude started feeling up my stomach (??) and told me that my diagnosis was that I sweat too much. Okay SORRY SEÑOR DOCTOR THAT IT IS 107 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND THAT I SWEAT. Needless to say, I'm not a big fan of his. I may try the local witch doctor.... I'm doing a lot better though. Elder Judd and I have seen a ton of miracles in our area here in Navojoa. We had the privilege of having 2 baptisms these past couple weeks. The Poqui Poqui Family and Claudia. Bot...
