75 Elder McGregory is back

What's good?! Just wanted to give a quick update!

Elder McGregory: So if y'all remember my good ole days in Magdalena, I was (somewhat) commonly known as Elder McGregory (nicknaming after the boxer/fighter Conor McGregor). Now it has come full circle...allow me to explain...

Bobby: One day this random dude calls us up and just says, "Elders, my name is Bobby and I want to get baptized." We stopped whatever we were doing and met up with him immediately. He told us he has taken the lessons for 3 years but had never felt prepared until now. He lives in the area of the sister missionaries, so we passed the reference. It also turns out (oh by the way, this guy is HUGE) that this Bobby dude is the owner of a boxing gym. He always says that we can go to his gym whenever we want. So the week of his baptism, all (6 of us) of the elders here in Caborca went to train with him one afternoon just to show him that we care for him and that we're thinking of him. And we quickly found out this dude is HARDCORE. He started blasting the Rocky soundtrack and had us training on our punching bags. He had us use all the punching combos, stances, attacks, movements, and coordinations all during this workout. He had probably about 30 kids watching us and they were wanting to box us. But we were all DEAD afterwards, but it was totally worth it. We then talked to him about his baptism and he was feeling a little hesitant about it. We shared a message with him and later told us that he really felt God's love when we showed up to train with  him. He felt our sincerity in doing something he loves. It was great interviewing him and seeing him be baptized!

I'm now super into boxing now...so basically...catch me in Vegas at MGM fighting Floyd Money Mayweather in a few years! hahaha (don't quote me on this por favor)

I'm still recovering from my Bronchitis and whatnot, this cough does not wanna go away! But it hasn't stopped us from the work! We have found a ton of awesome people! One of them being a 15 year old girl named Lluvia. Her situation is interesting. She lives in a humble home with her grandma. She is also pregnant. She told us she wants us to help her change her life and make better choices, we told her we can most certainly help her with that! The Gospel of Jesus Christ can overcome any challenge! She accepted a baptismal date for the 21 of March. Pray for her por favor!

Spiritual thought: I love this scripture in the old Testament in Ezra 10:4...which says...

4 Arise; for this matter belongeth unto thee: we also will be with thee: be of good courage, and do it.

I think of the Shia Laboeuf video, "JUST DO IT" when I read this. I think many times, we let Fear paralyze us. We are too hesitant or scared because we are too worried about things that simply don't matter. Like "What will people think of me?" or "I don't wanna waste my time" or things like that. When we have the courage to do the right, we will always receive blessings. A lot of times, we just need to ACT and go DO IT, and we will receive the guidance and direction as we go along.

Love you all and have a great week!
