Week 10 part 2

This is a piece of the letter he sent to us and different pics!

I had to hear from someone else about BYU....man that is brutal. I feel the pain from all the way over here....maybe one day.
Anyways, this week was better.
I am pretty lucky the few members here love the missionaries!
Thursday and Friday were basically lessons.   We visited a member's house (they actually own a store in the plaza so that's cool) and the only active young woman is named Valeria (I may have mistaken her for Baledia in a previous email before...don't quite know). Anyways, I just love her. She is super funny and can understand English! She can't speak it well but can understand basically everything I say. She is really into drawing and graphic design, as well as anime. So about a week ago, She asked if she wanted me to have her draw a picture of me in anime form. Of course I said ses!! How cool is that?! She asked what my favorite anime show was and I said Pokemon. She asked what my favorite pokemon was and I said Pikachu. On Friday she gave me the drawing and it is SO COOL!!! Haha I just love it...something I will cherish forever!
Saturday we went up to Nogales because Elder Veech and his companion Elder Gardner had a baptism and they are in our district. Elder Sanchez did the actual ordinance of baptism so that was cool to see. I was asked to give a brief talk on Baptism. And boy....did I butcher that. I have never felt so stupid. That's exagerated, but it was pretty discouraging how bad it was. Elder Veech came up to me and said how good it was. He is really good at cheering me up. So always a blessing!
Sunday we were asked to give talks. So after my pitiful performance on Saturday, I was scared. But I prayed that I could put together and deliver the words the people needed to hear. We had our progressing investigator Sofia show up, so that's always good. I gave a 8-10 talk and it went really well! Many of the members were impressed with how far I have come with my Spanish. Pretty cool!
Last night we rode the bus up to Nogales for Pday, all we have done really is play soccer and ate some pizza. Nothing too exciting, but nice to be able to "relax" to a degree.
Sorry about the pictures, I don't really have meaning behind them. Basically anything that looks like America or an actual town with people in it is Nogales. And anything that looks isolated and maybe rough is Magdalena.

4 weeks down! Love you guys and hope all is well!
Elder Gregory
