Week 12 Got to See My Boys!

I can't not start off without saying how good it is to have nick emery back...shoutout to BYU basketball and them beating Utah...I'll take that W any day over a W on Weber State.

Anyways, this week was the best yet. We didn't do a whole lot of tracting or contacting because I was on splits with Elder Estrada (Imuris elder) and then a couple days later we went to Hermosillo for our "End of 6 weeks" meeting. I got to see all of the boys again and I can't remember the last time I was so happy. We all slept at the AP's house and just chilled and we all talked about our experiences. I have drawn a few confusions about the other areas...

~seems like the other areas are much better when it comes to the members, churches, lessons, food, etc. There might be some things better about Magdalena than other places, but from what I have heard...it's not much. So I'll be excited to see what the other areas are like.
~I am very lucky to have Elder Sanchez because the more time I spend with him (and understand him) the more I love him. He is a good missionary and a good trainer. I just thought how chill Sanchez is. Yeah he has flaws (as do I) but a lot of those are so small and don't matter. Every day I am loving him more.
~About half of us were put with Latino companions, and we (Latino companion guys) probably all had the hardest time. We all cried everyday (mostly) but we somehow got through it. ALSO, I have noticed our Spanish is a lot better...so in the long run it was rough but helpful.

After the meeting I bought some Spanish scriptures and a case. I left the ones they gave us at the CCM and thought I could get by with dad's scriptures. Turns out they did an updated translation on the scriptures so it's a tiny bit different.

We then got home on Friday night and went to Imuris on Saturday for a baptism but it fell through. So not much happened.
Sunday was really good. They are always really chill. We went to church and I could probably understand 15% and I could've probably understood more but Mexicans talk SO FAST. A member then took us out to eat at this "fancy" restaurant and Sanchez and I went to town and ate so much food. These Mexican girls were our servers and kept laughing and giggling every time I spoke in Spanish. It was just funny...you had to be there.

I received my Christmas and Thanksgiving package, so thank you! I also got stuff from Aunt Kari and Jared White and his fam...how nice are they! Please be sure to say thanks for me!

Thanks for the flashdrive! I needed help converting the videos so I could  watch them so I managed to get the GC talks but the music doesn't work...oh well I'll figure something out. Plus I can download stuff here in Mexico so todo bien down here.

As for Christmas, I'm not sure what we are going to do. I'll have to talk to Sanchez but we will go to a member's house and use either Facetime or Skype or whatever. Probably in the afternoon or evening on Christmas for you guys. I'll try and have more details next week. And I wanted to send a package of Mexican stuff for you guys for Christmas so I'm not sure when it'll get there.

Pretty sure that is all for this week, it is a lot easier to teach with Christmas near. And I just love reading Luke 2:2-17 (cause that is what we read) because it is a testament of Christ! The birth of Christ changed the world and we can all have the blessings that came with it. We need to serve like Christ did in remembrance of his birth during this time of year!
Love you guys...keep it real and keep me updated!
