Week 28 CAMBIOS ESPECIALES!!!
Hey how is everyone doing??? These past couple weeks have been a little crazy for me. Fun, but a little crazy!
I will start out with a cool experience I had. The sister missionaries in our district (or our assigned group based on location) had a baptism and asked me to perform the baptismal ordinance for one of the girls! What a special experience that was! The Spirit was so strong and there was so much support from the members. The work in Nogales is going!
Last Wednesday however, Elder Joachin and I received a call from the mission saying that they had some unexpected changes happen so they had to transfer 3 missionaries throughout the whole mission, and I was one of them.
So the next day, I packed all of my stuff, said goodbye to Elder Joachin, and hopped on a bus headed 8 hours south to the city of NAVOJOA! I met my new companion, WHO IS A GRINGO TOO!!!! My first American companion! His name is Elder Richards and he is from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is super cool and has 18 months in the mission. So I learn a lot from him, and we get to speak in English (sometimes) WHAT A BLESSING!
Our new area is pretty cool, we have almost of the city and a small part of the out-skirts. We have a couple of baptisms set and we are teaching a bunch of new people. I am excited to see where this surprising new transfer takes me as well as the people we teach!
Spiritual thought--- One of my favorite scriptures is in the New Testament in John chapter 14 verse 18, and it says......
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
Jesus Christ taught this wonderful, yet simple truth. We may feel discouraged, sad, tired, or even alone sometimes. But because Christ sacrificed for us, we can feel the peace and love he has for us, for ALL OF US. He understands more than anyone how it feels to be cast out. He knows what it is like to be comfortless. But He will come to us, He will always show His love and His grace when we put our trust in Him.
Love you guys! Shoot me an email if you get the chance! I love and appreciate the support I get from you guys. My words cannot describe my gratitude! LES AMO!!!
