34 Navojoa

Hey!
I'm still chilling in Navojoa here with Elder Richards and yes....we are avoiding the dogs the best we can!

This week we tried visiting more members and working with them in the missionary work here. We have been able to find a few people from them so it's been super cool to see the people we have been able to teach.

One guy we are working with is named Vladamir (no he's not Russian). He's this huge dude who has a gentle heart. He's been looking for a change and has come to church with us a few times. He's just eating up all of the things we teach him. Hopefully we can have a baptism for him this week!

Well I have officially read and finished the Book of Mormon (at least here in the mission) and I have learned so much and gained such an amazing testimony of it! I can't wait to continue to study it and edificar mi testimonio even more!

Moroni chapter 7 might be my all time favorite chapter. There are so many wonderful things we can learn from it. Moroni has a way to teach and write and convey the message of God with such clarity and power.

I will stick to a classic one that I learned and still love.
Moroni 7:45, 47-48

45 And charity suffereth long, and is kind, and envieth not, and is not puffed up, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, and rejoiceth not in iniquity but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

47 But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him.

48 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen.

Charity truly is the love of Christ. It can endure all things and be a helping hand to everyone no matter what situation they are in. When we try and love like Christ did, we will bless the lives of so many of His children. We as missionaries can bring the light of Christ to others just by loving them as He did.

Love you guys!
Elder Gregory
