Week 69 Trash Valley

Buckle up mis amigos! This one is an interesting one...

First! My comp and I were just doing our thing teaching and whatnot until one member called us and asked if we could come over right then and help her clean up her Bakery with a bunch of trash that was there. We went and helped clean up a BUNCH of all kinds of trash, from cardboard My LittlePony cutouts to filled to the brim Tequila bottles fresh in the case. After we loaded all of the trash in her truck, she asked if we could help her unload it. Of course we said yes and she took us to this legit cliff where we were to throw the trash off into this valley (hence Trash Valley). And guys lemme tell you...I have never felt more alive, vivacious, or powerful in my life than when I was literally chucking bottles full of alcohol off a cliff and seeing them shatter while wearing a missionary tag...that was a glorious day.

A huge apology to my environmental friends (sorry Molly).

ANYWHO! Life has been good the past lil bit. We have been teaching and visiting SO MANY PEOPLE, like I feel exhausted at times just from smiling too much. My head is really taking a hit, but it's all good! Life is just better when you smile! It's easier to see the miracleswhen you make an effort to be happy!

Speaking of miracles, we had 73 PEOPLE SHOW UP TO CHURCH YESTERDAY!!! I'm pretty sure it's the most people we've had there in Nacozari in a LONG TIME. Granted, we had a lot of visitors there, so it was kind of a one time thing BUT we had so many inactive people show up trying to change their lives and come back. What an amazing thing the Gospel of Jesus Christ is! The work is hastening here in Nacozari!

Weird story: It's a pretty interesting thing to have your own comp talk to you in the middle of the night. I heard my comp yelling "GREGORY, GREGORY!" at 2amand I shot up cause I thought there was something seriously wrong. I then saw him, 100% fast asleep, and he tells me, "Do you have the bike brakes?" I was so confused cause we don't use bikes, but I was too tired to care. But he then did it the NEXT NIGHT but asked me if we had enough pamphlets. I'm just glad he's subconsciously aware of making sure we are stocked up! haha!

Spiritual thought: I came across "Prayer" in the Bible Dictionary. I love what it says...

"The object of prayer is not to change the will of God, but to secure for ourselves and for others blessings that God is already willing to grant, but that we must ask for in order to obtain."

We pray so that we can connect with our Father in heaven. It's on us to put our faith in Him and willingly receive His will. He is ALWAYS willing to help us; we just need to do our part!

Les amo mucho!! Have a great week!
