77 weeks ¿Corona who?

Transfers were today so we talked on the phone but no email or pictures because he did not get to go to an Internet cafe.  Maybe tomorrow? Also the corona virus is just beginning so just a few precautions so far.  We shall see.

What's good?!

It's been pretty interesting this past week. It seems like the whole world except for Mexico has taken super serious precautions about the Corona Virus. The only thing that everyone has really emphasized is "Wash your hands!!!" So needless to say...Caborca, Mexico should have some pretty clean hands!

The church has officially closed any type of meetings held in church buildings. So we had to have a small church service in the house of a member and help deliver the sacrament to other members/people who wanted it. I'm pretty sure we biked all across Caborca so we could deliver this sacred ordinance...it was a really cool experience to say the sacrament prayer so many times in Spanish as well as seeing the look on people's faces as we showed up on their door with bread and little cups of water. I'll never think of the sacrament the same after that.

Spiritual thought: I love the scripture in Alma 36:3, when the prophet Alma is teaching his son Helaman about his conversion and the importance of trusting in God, especially during our trials.

3 And now, O my son Helaman, behold, thou art in thy youth, and therefore, I beseech of thee that thou wilt hear my words and learn of me; for I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day.

The phrase "lifted up at the last day" means that we will receive eternal life....or a happiness that never ends in the presence of God. We need trials in our lives so that we can grow and learn to trust in God. He puts trials and obstacles in our lives so that we can be more like Him. This promise can give us comfort knowing that there's more in store for us spiritually and eternally!

Love you guys!
